To the left is the lighting crew that quickly built the rock solid overhead lights that illuminated hours of foos action. But the really important guests were the 100+ crawfish that flew in, first class, from New Orleans. Bad Ass Bobby Boucher got the food party started around 7pm and people gobbled until the wee hours. The band DRAGON WAGON started about 8pm and jammed until closing. With the doors open, the foos crowd enjoyed the best of both worlds: Excellent tunes but in the coolness of the 65 degree temps. Weather so perfect handle wraps were barely needed.

Footnote: One of the reasons we were able to do this: You can "de-rod" a USA PRO Fireball table in about 5 minutes, making it easily transported through a normal width door. While the biggest effort was lighting, getting the tables moved and level was a non-issue. We predict that anytime the weather is that perfect, outdoor foosing will be happen again.

Brad Laurine gave us a set of Rodlocks. So if you need practice or do some serious goalie wars, these are available behind the bar. (Specifically, they are located at the base of Mulva's head) If you don't know who Mulva is, just ask anyone behind the bar.

This Thursday will be a potentially huge milestone for foosball as we are transforming the beer garden into a beer garden with foosball. Yes, you read that correctly. We will be planting foosball seeds in the garden of beer to create something that likely has never been done before. We've left a message at the Guinness Book of Records to make sure someone is present to document this accomplishment. We're pretty certain nobody has ever attempted this feat.

Many more details to follow, but be aware we're talking about a full-blown crawfish boil, Fed'exd in directly from New Orleans. So if you would want to be part of a historic event, mark your calendar for some foos action that will undoubtedly end up as headline news.

As some of you may know, Brad Laurine visited this weekend to play a few games and help us improve our overall foos'osity. In particular our focus was the planning of a "real" tournament that's soon to be put on the foos calendar of significant events. Among the many suggestions Brad offered was to install a forum so we could attract a wider audience of both players and promoters. With little hesitation, we did just that: MiFOOS now includes a forum.

All we need now are people like you to share your input.

The forum is for any group that wants to promote their event. However, from a local perspective, we want to form a group that includes people from the "major foosball hubs" in the Michigan area. Our immediate objective is to decide on a venue and date for a Fireball tournament in the $2000 to $4000 total purse range.

The forum that's now active here has not yet been fully configured. (We need categories and such into which we can pour or creative juices) If you're interested in helping shape this, consider this your formal invitation.
